Speaker’s introductionShe is a professor of Graduate School of Advanced Interpretation and Translation, a doctoral supervisor and a senior translator in Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. She is also an expatriate expert of China’s “Thousand Talents Program”, a reviewer of CATTI interpretation materials published by China International Communications Group and a member of the review board which selects interpreters and translators for Korean government. She has provided interpreting service for various summits, forums and international conferences and many Chinese and Korean dignitaries, such as Wen Jiabao, Li Mingbo, Park Geun-hye and Yoon Seok-Youl, etc. and translating service for Korean government and a number of renowned enterprises.

Introduction to the lectureFocusing on the functionalist translation theory, the lecture explains how to apply the theory in translation in practice and how to understand its application.
